We spent our Halloween this year going to the Storybook Forest, celebrating at the OSU homecoming walk-around and trick-o-treating for the first time with some close friends. Once Cooper understood what the idea was all about "CANDY" he was beyond thrilled!

Houston Trip

Cooper and I took a summer trip to Houston back in July. Cooper wanted to go see his cousins and grandparents!! This was Coopers first time to fly and he LOVED it. He did amazing!! I let him sit by the window of course so that he would be entertained. He was sure to point out ever cloud and of course eat all 3 bags of his peanuts!!

We were very busy on our trip....We spent one day at the San Marcos outlet stores shopping, went to Gruene Texas to eat the best chicken fried steak ever, went to the Houston zoo, road a train through Hermann Park, went swimming, watched the new Winnie the Pooh movie, ate LOTS of yummy food and spent LOTS of time playing with my sweet and beautiful nieces.

4th of July

We had a very fun and busy 4th of July this year. We went to the Edmond parade, had a cook-out with friends and family and then we watched the big fireworks show at UCO.

We were so excited that we were going to be in Houston to celebrate with my niece Claire for her 5th birthday. This year she got to have a big party at the coolest place ever, Inflatable Zone ....very smart thinking to have this place indoors in Houston when it is tooo hot outside for parties! Cooper had the greatest time and was NONE stop till it was time to go.

Easter 2011

We had a VERY fun but interesting Easter this year. We decided last year that we would like to spend one holiday with no traveling (since both sets of grandparents live out of town). We had to rule out Thanksgiving and Christmas of course and Halloween is hard since its usually during the week so we picked Easter. We told our parents they are always welcome to spend it with us and that if something special was going on during Easter at their house then we would travel. Needless to say it was wonderful not having to pack and was able to relax!!
We spent most of Saturday making cookies for our friends, coloring eggs, playing outside and watching lots of Snoopy, The Easter Beagle.

the Bunny use to always leave an egg in our Easter shoes growing up so I wanted to carry this tradition on with my kids

Here is the interesting part.....Sunday morning we woke up to storms and lots of rain. As we are getting ready for church our electricity goes out. We decided to wait a little bit for it to come back on and let Cooper hunt the eggs the Bunny hide, in the dark! Nine o'clock rolls around (when bible class starts) and still nothing so we started to pack up our church clothes and head to my sisters house to get ready. As we are walking out the door the electricity comes back on so we hurried to get ready and showed up to church with only 15 minutes left...oh well.
After church we went to my sisters house for lunch and spent the afternoon hunting eggs inside, eating, napping and relaxing.

New Cousin!!

Cooper has a new cousin that he is madly in love with, Abigail Joy Williams. She was born on April 8, 2011 at 2:12 am. She weighed 10 pounds and was 20 1/2 inches long.

Cooper calls her Baby Abidail. He loves her so much. When she was first born he was very protective of her. If anybody, even Aunt Rachael, was holding her he wanted to know why, what they were doing and he wanted to be right there. I always said when I was little that IF I was to have a girl I at least wanted her to have a big brother. There is something about a big brother that brings comfort. He might pick on you but he will always be there to protect you. I know that Cooper is going to be that big brother for Abigail.
We are so excited to have Baby Abigail here and are so excited to watch her grew up. She is the sweetest most precious baby and you will be seeing her alot on here.

Coopers 2nd birthday!

We started the day out with Pancakes of course

The day before Coopers birthday he started to not feel so well. He came home from Ruth Anns being very clingy, wanting me to hold him none stop and was running a little bit of a fever. Luckily we had an appointment the next morning for his 2 year check-up, no shots were needed (what kind of mom would I be to do that on his b-day?), where he weighted in at 32 pounds and was 36 inches tall and had a double ear infection. He was acting like he was feeling better and since it was his birthday I decided to go ahead and take him to Ruth Anns so he could play with his friends and have cupcakes....horrible mom that I am, he came home feeling even more horrible(example: picture 2).

We decided to take him to chick-fil-a for his birthday dinner and pick up his antibiotic (that he did not take till 7pm that evening) and then head home for dessert and open presents from mommy and daddy!

Later that night around 11pm he woke up crying with a temperature of 103!!! (FREAK OUT)
I ended up staying home with him the next day so that we could rest and relax before friends and family came to town for his 2nd birthday party.

We originally had planned to celebrate Coopers birthday at the park but because Oklahoma weather is soo unpredictable we had to end up moving it inside at the very last minute. It had been in the 70s all week and we were thinking it was going to be perfect weather and then saturday morning a cold front comes in with highs in the low 50s and a north wind of 40 mph...and well with Cooper having an ear infection and great grandparents coming we figured we better find warmth! So the only place we could find at the last minute to fit 35 people was at our church in the youth group room. I was nervous because it was nothing like I had planned but it turned out fine and it ended up warming up towards the end of the party so the kids got to go outside and play on the playground at church. We celebrated with Pizza and salad of course and amazing cupcakes and cookies!!

These are some pictures of Cooper over the past couple of months. He has really started to become allll boy lately and I say that meaning that he was not all boy before but it seems these past months he is ALLLL boy!
I love boys. Ever since I was little I have always wanted 4 or 5 kids and wanted them all to be boys, not that I don't like girls but well girls are just hard, moody, gossipy, mean and well seem to go through harder times then boys. Now, if I have a girl I will be happy don't get me wrong but I would love all boys. I already have 3 (fixing to be 4) semi-my girls that I claim part mine...aka my nieces that I love and adore!
Boys are just fun and this one is wrapped around my little finger. He comes home from Ruth Anns everyday covered in dirt from head to toe, loves to collect sticks and rocks from the yard, will find any puddle of water to jump in, eats dirt, plays with bugs and spiders, has no fear of jumping off of any service, loves tractors, cars and any type of ball but yet will find a flower to pick for me, let me cuddle and kiss him all over, and tells me he wuvs me every-night.

Catch-Up #6

This year was my moms 60th Birthday! We wanted to surprise her so we planned a party in February instead of March so that she would not suspect a thing. We decided that we were all going to meet in Southlake, Texas (close to Dallas). They just built this very nice outdoor shopping center with lots of restaurants and my nephew has had some tournaments for lacrosse here in the past and so we thought we could use that as a way to get her down here with out asking dad lots of questions. She was sooo surprised! It took her a little while to figure out that Cody really didn't have any games that weekend that it was all about her. We went to eat at Snuffers then came back for cake, cookies and champagne. The next day we went shopping, the girls had an appointment at Lemongrass to get pedicures and then we took her to Kirbys steakhouse for dinner. We had a lot of fun and we were so glad that we surprised her!

Catch-Up #5

On October 1st we started watching Charlie Brown Halloween, then on November 1st we started watching Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and then on November 24 we started watching Charlie Brown Christmas....and when I say watch I mean we watched it EVERYYYYDAYYY! I loved these shows growing up and so I told Jacob that I wanted to Cooper to like them as well but I didn't think that he would be obsessed with them. He would hear the music playing, stop whatever he was doing and RUN to come watch, and he would sit through the whole thing and even memorized some lines. That story leads us to our Valentine's Day

We didn't get a single picture of him in his valentines day shirt with his friends from school but, He made them all a heart-shaped rice krispy treat with sprinkles and a snoopy valentine of course!

Snow storm 2011! You might remember from last year, and if not I will refresh your memory, we got snowed in over Christmas. We were suppose to leave to go to Jacobs parents house for Christmas (coopers 1st Christmas) on Christmas eve morning and much to our surprise (sarcastic voice) the weatherman was a little wrong about how much snow we were getting. Because we were leaving we did not have any food except freezer stuff and some things we had made for Christmas lunch at Jacobs parents house. This year, we were VERY prepared for the snow, with lots of food and lots to do!

In January my dad and aunt decided that it was time to move my 91 year old grandma closer to one of them in case something was to happen to her. She has been living on her own for almost 9 years since my Paw-Paw passed away and is still in good health!! It was a VERY emotional day because it brought back so many wonderful memories of our Paw-Paw and of course all the amazing times that we had spent there growing up.

Catch-Up #1

I know it's has been since Halloween since I have posted on here and I apologize. Many friends and family have been asking for updates since they don't get to see Coop much and it has been very hard to get motivated after coming home from work and then playing mommy/wife, BUT I have learned my lesson to never get this far behind because I had way way too many pictures to look through to catch up to now. So, bare with me because there is lots to catch-up on and lots of pics to post...so we will start with Christmas!
We had 3 Christmas's this year. Our first Christmas was at Jacobs Grandmothers house, then to my parents house in Houston and then we had Jacobs parents Christmas on New Years this year. It was crazy and very busy but we were glad to not be snowed in this year. Hope that you enjoy all the pictures!!

Cooper had a full week of Halloween this year by going to Storybook Forest with his adorable little friend Ella for the 2nd year in a row, Haunt the Zoo, a party with his friends at his babysitters, and having Grammie, Pop-Pop and aunt Rah-Rah intown to go trick of treating at some close friends houses!! So, with all that being said you can imagine what it was like to have a 20 month old high on sugar, staying up late and being spoiled...we will just say that church sunday was, well...not so pleasurable but we did have a VERY cute spider!!

Vacation-Part 2

On our way to San Antonio we HAD to stop in Gruene, Texas so that Cooper could have his first of many pictures infront of Gruene Hall and the famous water tower. After Gruene we headed to San Marcos to shop at the outlet stores, which Cooper was VERY excited about. We introduced Cooper to some of our favorite restaurants while in San Antonio...Chris Madrids and Rudys BBQ!

We went on a wonderful vacation the first week of August! We spent the first half of the week in Austin at Lost Pines Resort and then the last part of the week we took Cooper to Sea World in San Antonio. This part of Texas is our favorite and there is so much to do. We tried some new places and had to visit some old. We had so much fun that it was really hard to come home. Things have been so crazy lately that I completely forgot this thing even existed.... sorry. We both have been working, Jacob is taking summer school, we both have been working out and trying to keep up with Mr. Cooper.
Since we saw you last Cooper tried swim lessons but didn't really care for it, we have been to the pool and park alot, the zoo, survived a flood and some other interesting things in between.....I'll just let the pictures tell the story.

15 months

Cooper is 15 months old today and I am still in shock. It still feels like he should be a newborn who lets me hold him for hours....but nope he is 15 months old and does not like to sit still for one minute. He is a very active boy who loves to go go go!!!
-he weighs 28.8 pounds
-bedtime is 8 and he sleeps 11 1/2 hours
-takes one nap a day, sometimes two
-loves all fruits and some vegetables
-says mama, dada, dog, ball, juice, byebye, bible, please , more ,thankyou , cookie, whats that, ehh ohh, boo, pop pop (for paw paw), nana
-gives big hugs and open mouth kisses
-can count 1,2,3
-has 9 teeth and trying to get his molars(3 times now)
-loves books, balls, shooting baskets, opening and shutting drawers, watching Veggie Tales, being outside, Playing with Murphy, taking baths, singing/screaming, playing with his friends and cousins, swinging, going to the zoo, laughing
-new for Cooper: sucking out of straws, eatting snowcones, wearing flip flops, having sleepovers at cousins house, playing chase, learning sign language, can point people out in a picture.

Coopers summer has started out busy so far with his first sleep over with his cousin Ka-Ka were he didn't miss mama or dada, a Gymboree class that he loved, and lots of visits from Nana and PawPaw from Houston. We still have lots to come with swim lessons, VBS, many trips to the zoo and the pool, trip to Lost Pines and Sea World, swim in Uncle Joes new pool, and to see many relatives in between.

Pioneer Woman, GiGi and Bluebonnets

We have had some exciting events this month, so much that we haven't come up for air just yet. I can't complain though because I like things to be busy. My niece and nephew both play lacrosse so we have been attending their games on the weekends which is sooo exciting to watch. If you haven't ever watched lacrosse, I highly suggest you do. I think its the only game that you can literally take some one out cold and get cheered to do so.

We went to visit Gi-Gi (Coopers Great-Grandma) one afternoon this past week. We haven't seen GiGi since her 90th birthday so it was a very long overdue visit. Cooper loves his GiGi and loved spending time with her. Gi-Gi pulled out her dominos and cooper had fun making a mess. We also had to let Cooper play on the cellar door which a tradition in our family. That was "the place" when we were little.

Something that you wouldn't think to find in Oklahoma are bluebonnets. We use to always go to the Texas Hill country every spring to look at the bluebonnets and since we haven't made it to Texas yet this spring, I had to take this picture for my mom.

Cooper had so much fun that he fell asleep reading his book.

The most exciting of all.....I got to meet the Pioneer Woman!! It was an early birthday present from my wonderful sister-in-law Rachael. It was a luncheon/booksigning for 300 woman. We had the pleasure of listening to her speak, got to eat her chicken spagetti, olive bread, homemade ranch dressing on a iceberg wedge, apple dumplings, and mocha cake.

While there I also had the pleasure of meeting Smittybaby Aka Meridith Smith which I forgot to take a picture with. She is precious! She has a great blog that you will love to read and is amazingly crafty!! We still have many things left in the month...Jacobs grandma went home so we have her funeral tomm, my parents are coming this weekend to celebrate my sisters, my moms and my birthday, and the last weekend we have a garage sale with our friends the Colberts.

First Haircut

Alot has happened since Coopers first birthday. Cooper finally got his first hair cut....as you can see from the first picture it was starting to get out of control.

Cooper started the day off with blueberry pancakes, singing happy birthday, watching re-runs of Handy Manny, opened one present from mom and dad...a basketball goal, had our one year check-up with 4 shots, a nap, went to sitter where he had cupcakes with his friends, more presents, his first bubble bath and more Handy Manny.

I still can't believe that my baby is a year old. It really seems like he was just born yesterday. Jacob and I laid in bed last night talking about "remember what we were doing this time last year"? I keep finding myself today looking at the clock and thinking about what was happening at each hour. We were so excited to meet Mr. Cooper! He has been the greatest blessing to Jacob and me. I never imagined that someone so small could bring so much joy and happiness into your life. It has been a GREAT (but fast) year. Its been fun experiencing all the new things that parenthood brings you. We look forward to another year and many many more!

Cooper at one year:

-no more bottles, only sippy cups
-no more formula, only whole milk
-no more baby food, only table food
-loves all fruits and vegetables except carrots
-down to 2 naps a day. one mid morning for an hour and then one in afternoon for hour and a half
-goes to bed at 7 and wakes up between 6-6:30
-size 18 to 24 month clothes
-size 5 1/2 shoes
-walking, walking, and more walking
-loves to get in cabinets and shut doors
-loves to point
-says "Mama," "Dada," and "Baba"
-waves bye-bye
-gives kisses
-loves to throw toys and Murphy's tennis ball
-likes books and loves someone to read to him
-favorite toys are tractors, barn, ball popper, car keys, remotes, and cell phones

Coopers new favorite thing to do

Well its been over a month since I have blogged and I am so sorry! I have had plenty of time (being snowed in twice since the last post) but once I get home from work, I do not want to look at a computer so it has been hard to motivate myself. I am here but not with alot to say or alot of pictures. There is fixing to be alot happening in our house, Cooper turns 11 months on Wednesday, we find out if Cooper needs tubes on Wednesday, 1st birthday party planning begins (always brings tears to my eyes), 1 year pictures to prepare for, Cooper will attend his first social event where his good friend Ella turns 1. Makes me tired just thinking about all of it!!

I think the last time that I was here we were snowed in on Christmas Day. We did finally get to celebrate x-mas with Jacobs family that next weekend and Cooper brought in the new year in his dreams. We had a wonderful time with them, but as always it goes by too fast. The following weekend of Jan 9th we got to celebrate Christmas with my family in College Station at the Lake which was different but it was fun. Cooper got lots of new toys which he has HIGHLY enjoyed but bc of the high quantity of toys Jacob and I had to go through all his old toys and donate some and pack some away.

I was off on Martin Luther King day so we took Cooper to the sitter so Jacob and I could enjoy a date of lunch and a movie. After our movie me and Cooper went to meet Maria and Ella at the zoo, which was nice to be outside in the wonderful weather we were having for a Jan in Oklahoma. Cooper was acting very laid back and not smiley like he normally is, so we took him over to my sisters house so she could look at his ears and sure enough he had a horrible double ear infection. On top of his ear infections there was also some kind of virus going around at the sitter. He was having a bad runny nose, sneezing, horrible cough that made him projectile vomit every time and nice blowouts. After 2 rounds of antibiotics he is doing much better and is back to his old self.

The most exciting thing that has happened since we last talked........Cooper is walking. This huge accomplishment came to us on Jan 19. He has been wanting to for the longest time but was very timid about letting go. He would hold on to one of our fingers and walk everywhere so I thought well lets just see what happens....so I placed him a couple of inches in front of me and let go and he did it so I put him further back and he did it again. This time Jacob got on one side of the room and I was on the other and he walked back and forth between us. He still holds on to things but ever so often you look up and he is walking to his toys.

Since I didn't post on his 9 or 10 month birthdays I thought I would just give you a heads up on what he is up to growth wise.
-Ruth Ann (our sitter) measured is height on a growth chart and he is about 2 feet tall.
-Weighs around 25-27 pounds
-Wears size 18 month clothes and size 5 1/2 shoe
-Is eating almost all table food now and loves it, except for peaches still
-Taking a sippy cup for juice
-Taking a sippy cup for his two middle bottles and regular bottles at morning and evening
-Takes 2 naps a day and sometimes 3
-Has 6 teeth and expecting more
-Can say DaDa and BaBa but still no MaMa. Sounds like he is trying to say other words but can't make them out just yet
-Starting to point at objects
-Will shake his head to the word no and yes
-Loves to stick out his tongue
-His very obsessed with faces, eye lashes and lips
-Very ticklish on his ribs and feet
-Loves to be chased and scared
-Will throw the ball for his puppy Murphy
-Is already in a big boy car seat bc of height and weight
-Loves to be outside in swing or stroller for walks

Christmas Eve

Coopers first Christmas went a little different then we had planned. I worked until 7pm on wednesday because I would be taking Christmas Eve off (this is a VERY busy time of year for us so to make coming back to work easier for me I worked late). The weather men told us that a storm would be blowing through on wednesday evening and would be gone by noon on Christmas Eve......hahahhaha, that was a fat joke. 14 inches later santa came!! Since we had planned on leaving town (as you can see in picture there are no presents under tree bc they are all packed up) we had not gone to the store, so for our Christmas lunch we had baked chicken, mashed potatoes and black eyed peas. Even though it was not what we had planned it still was nice just to be the three of us for Coopers first Christmas and enjoy every moment of that day with him. Cooper celebrated his first Thanksgiving at Broken Bow Lake with all of Amy's side of the family. Amy's grandma (Cooper's GG) turned 90, so we all got together to celebrate. Cooper got to enjoy mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, greenbeans,crannberry sauce, peas, and rolls......he LOVED all of it! He took his first train ride through the forest, a hayride, campfires and smores, and long walks around our cabin. We really enjoyed being with everyone despite the fact that Cooper received his two front teeth while we were there.

Cooper is 8 months old going on 1 year.....it seems. He is growing and developing so fast that we can not keep up with him.
-He is crawling so fast that you can blink and he is gone

Cooper wanted to start celebrating his 7 month birthday early so he woke up at 6 AM on saturday morning, he usually sleeps till 7 or 7:30. We started off our day as usual with some yummy oatmeal and a bottle and watched some morning cartoons....Olivia, Wonder Pets and then Franklin. We then got ready so that we could take Cooper to a pumpkin patch to pick out his first pumpkin.

Cooper turned 6 months old on September 3 and yes that was 4 weeks ago but things have been super busy at our house and will be busy till the new year comes around so sorry for all the delays. Drum roll please.............
-Cooper weighed in at 21 pounds and 10 ozs and he is 28 1/4 inches long
-wears size 9-12 months clothes and size 2 shoes
-started doing army crawl but is now on all fours and moving fast
-has two teeth with about 4 more on the way
-hair is still growing like crazy and is getting more curly
-trying very hard to sit up on own
-eats all vegetables and fruits, LOVES them all except for bananas. still eatting cereal in AM

-takes 2 naps during day and sometimes a third (if we are lucky) lasting 45min to hour 1/2 long

We met all of my family in Frisco this past weekend since it is half way from Houston and Cooper got to hang out with all his cousins and he LOVED the girls and of course all the attention. We didn't get a picture with Cousin Cody.

Crawling, Teething and More

Cooper has now officially gone through all the vegetables!! He liked all of them Alot which I was so happy for. I am in the process of wanting to start making my own food for him, which will be fun.

Cooper has wanted to start crawling so bad. He will get up on his knees and stick that butt up in the air, but just can't get those arms to work. We bet he will have it down by the end of the week.
Cooper got to finally meet his friend Ella. Ella was born almost exactly a month before Cooper!
We discovered on Wednesday that Cooper got his first tooth. He got his bottom front right tooth, and it is a sharp little sucker! We are hoping that the rest of his teeth are like this one because it came in with no tears just all smiles!
Cooper now weighs 20 pounds and 4 ozs. He is only 2 pounds away from needing a new car seat! Here are a few pictures from the past couple of weeks. He is getting to big too fast!

Cooper is 5 months old today!!! In celebration of his 5 months we busted out the highchair last night so that he could eat his first taste of greenbeans, which he loved.

Cooper at 5 months old:
-weight: estimating 18 to 18.5 pounds

-Sleeps through the night 10-11 hours
-Naps 3-4 times a day. short one in Am, 2 1/2 in afternoon, short one in evening.
-Eats every 3 hours. Loves Oatmeal and started green beans

-wearing 6-9 month clothes but mostly 9 months

-We go throgh two outfitts a day and 3-4 bids from drooling..ALOT!

-Loves to take baths. When he hears water running he starts kicking.
-Likes having clothes off and getting diaper changed

-Cuddles with mommy alot during naps on sunday afternoon
-LOVES to be read to and loves to eat the book

-Starting to hold his own bottle
-Car rides and shopping are liked to an extent
-Loves to be outside period. we have started taking him to the zoo, which we think he really enjoys

-Likes Ruth Anns and playing with all the kiddos. He will tell me all about his day on the car ride home, right before he falls asleep...everytime!

For the past couple of weeks Cooper has been trying very hard to suck on his toes. He discovered his feet earlier this month and ever since has loved holding on to them.
Well thursday night he finally accomplished his goal, Toe in mouth!!!

Cooper also has been trying so so hard to catch those sheep that are always flying around his head while he is in his swing. Well, last night he caught them!! With Franklins help of course!

Cooper has been dealing with alot of allergies this past month, so he is now taking allergy med which seems to be helping so far. You would think that not feeling well would make you cranky, irritable, and not happy......not our little scooterbug. He is still all smiles.

We thought that we would try something new the other day, letting him dry out after a bath....hahahha. He didn't pee anywhere thankgoodness but he would not stay on him tummy he kept wanting to roll roll roll. I was so afraid that the minute he rolled over he would go to watering everything.

Something else new we are experiencing, which I am not complaining about, naptime. He has started a new schedule...a short nap midmorning, a 2 1/2 hour nap at noon and another short nap mid afternoon and sleeps 11-12 hours at night!! With as much as he is sleeping, I think he is growing again. We are now in 9 month clothes...what?...he is only 4 1/2 months old???? Crazy

We went to our 4 month check-up yesterday which actually turned out to be ALOT better then expected. He of course got his shots but only cried till mommy picked him up. He cried for awhile at his 2 month shots but Jacob thinks he cried more because the nurse put Hello Kitty bandaids on, this time he got batman. As far as his allergies and ear-infections were concerned, one ear was completly healed and the other was just a little read. So, we will be going to see Nurse Aunt Stef on sunday to see if it is better. Everything looked really good and we don't have to go back till 6 months!!

Cooper at 4 months old:

-17lbs 13 oz

-25 1/2 inches long

-Head circumference 17 7/8

-Sleeps through the night 10-11 hours

-Naps 3-4 times a day. length always varies from 45 min to 2 1/2 hours

Cooper is now 4 months old!

He turned 4 months old on Friday July 3. We haven't gone to his 4 month Baby Well check-up(appt on the 9th) but we did go to the Dr. on Monday (tell you more about that in a sec) and he weighed in at 17lbs and 12ozs.......Oh My Goodness!!!!

We thought that in celebration of his 4 month birthday that we would introduce him to cereal! It was quite a site, we could not help but laugh because he was not to sure about it. He has since learned to like it, a little.

Now earlier I told you that we had to go to the Dr. on Monday. Well, the 4th was not to exciting for us, Cooper got his first round of allergies. The poor baby could not sleep becaue he could not breath well, so mommy and daddy took turns sitting in grandad's recliner holding him upright all night so he could sleep. It was not better Monday morning so we took him to the Dr. to find out that he has a double ear-infection from all the drainage. The Dr. said that the ear-infection was not bad, that it was just coming on so we caught it very early. Let me tell you Cooper is a Trooper!! You would never know that he was sick. He is still talking and chatting and of course all smiles!

We did spend the 4th at Jacobs parents house in Ryan, Since Jacob and I have been married we have been going to Ryan for the 4th because it is right in the middle of Watermelon season so his family is in full swing. This year didn't really feel like the 4th because it was raining so we didn't get to do fireworks, but Cooper got to spend lots of time with grandparents, Aunt Rachael and Uncle Brett, Great Grandad and of course Great Grandmother

We had a weekend filled with many firsts!

Friday night we took Cooper out to the movies. We went to see "UP" but only got to see the first hour and 20 min, because it was Coopers bedtime and he was letting everyone know. The part of the movie that we did see was GREAT!

Saturday after running errands in 100 degree weather we thought we would head to Aunt Stefanies to go swimming. Cooper loves the water so we thought he would enjoy it...and he loved it! You will notice that he has a turtle bathing suit with matching shoes and his float is a turtle, all because he loves franklin!!

Sunday we went to Freedom of Faith Festival at Quail Springs. We were excited about this because we wanted to see how Cooper would react to fireworks, but of course again it was his bedtime and he let everyone know, so we didn't get to see fireworks. He did have a great time though being outside with Cousin Caylee and watching all the trees ( he loves trees)!!

Cooper is now 3 months old and I am just now finished with all the projects I had set to do while I was home on maturnity leave. Oh well, better late then never. I would love to be a crafty person like my friend Suzanne but my brain doesn't work like that so, this is all you get from me.

New Accomplishments

I thought I would share some photos of Cooper and his new big moves!

Cooper has been standing up, with a little help of course. If he is laying down he will try so hard to pull himself up. If you grab his hands he will lift all the way up to a standing position, which always makes him smile! I think he is yelling at daddy here.

Cooper is starting to hold his head up very well. He has also been trying to crawl/scoot but he seems to always get his left hand stuck under him and he gives up.

Cooper has started to use his Bumbo seat which he is not to sure about. He gets very fasinanted with the toy and loves to watch it spin.

Bad Friday

Well, this past friday Jacob was watching Cooper so that my mom could clean my sisters house before they came home from vacation. Normally Cooper will wake up at 6:30 eat, watch Franklin, and fall back asleep. He will wake up from his nap and be ready to eat again at 10. Well, on this particular day when he woke up from his nap and ate....he was mad. Jacob said that he cried from 10 to about 12:15. Usually Cooper is easy to console but not this time. He would not Stop crying!!!! I was at work and I felt so bad for Jacob because when a baby has been crying for awhile you start to get stressed!!

I called the Dr. because I was thinking that it was an ear infection or he was teething (because he drolls ALOT) and we wanted to get in to see her before the weekend. Jacob had a client to meet with so I took off work early and took Cooper to the dr. When I got Cooper, you could tell that he was hurting. He had this sad look on his face and looked so tired. We go into see the Dr. and she said his ears look great, breathing is good, he has a little bit of a temp(from crying) and looks like he is eatting well (weighed in at 16 lbs and 1 oz). Come to find out our poor baby has reflux and it was burning his poor little throat!! I felt like such a bad mom. Needless to say he is taking much much better naps these days and seems to be a much happier baby! Still can't believe he weighs 16 pounds...geez!

Every morning after breakfast Cooper loves to watch FRANKLIN! If you don't know what Franklin is its a cartoon about a turtle and all his friends. Cooper will just sit and watch Franklin and sometimes smile, I think he really likes the sounds of their voices. Well, Nana came into town for the week and she brought him a turtle, which we couldn't help but name Franklin. He loves to have long conversations with him and also have stare downs with Franklin, which of course Franklin wins.

On Sunday Cooper finally got to meet a very dear friend of ours, Cassi!! We didn't get any pictures with her because we of course forgot to bring our camera. Cassi was so sweet and brought Cooper a gift from her and her parents. Cooper is already enjoying it and can not wait to see her again! Cooper turned 3 months today!

It is so crazy how fast time flies. It feels like yesterday that we were going to the hospital and here it is 3 months later. He has changed so much!! He is now over his colic, sleeping 8 to 9 1/2 hours everynight, holds his head up, will follow you with his eyes across the room, will reach out and grab whatever is in front of him. He is trying to rollover, loves to listen to you read a book and he giggled for his first time ever last night!! People always say to enjoy every moment because it will fly by and now I know what they were talking about because it seems like every morning that he wakes up he has changed. Before I know it we will turn around and he will be 6 months old.

SO, its been awhile since I posted SURPRISE! I knew I would be bad at this thing. I am on the computer all day at work so when I get home its the last thing that I want to do.

Well, this month has been full but exciting for Cooper. I went back to work which hasn't been too bad since Cooper gets to go with me some. It has been an adjustment for both of us but we are doing better now. He actually started going to a sitter today which I was sad, nervous, sick to my stomach, yet excited all at the same time. I think all of you first time moms out there know what I am talking about, but he has his little friend Jaxon there to help!!! This month has also been full of getting to see ALOT of family. All of my family came into town because Coopers Aunt Stefanie graduated from Nurse Practioner School and we went to see Jacobs familyfor Memorial Day.

Cooper is starting to like tummy time a little more, as long as Murphy doesn't get involved, and he is starting to want to roll over. He discovered his feet last week and loves to watch himself kick!! Cooper loves to sit and have a converstaion with you. He keeps wanting to laugh out loud but just can't seem to get it out. We have been watching a little tv in the afternoons and he loves the Backyardagins, everytime that he hears their voices he will smile. We also started watching Baby Einstein Baby Monet, which I think he likes.

11 weeks late getting started

We could never decide if we were going to start a blog for Cooper. I didn't think I would ever have enough time to keep up with it BUT then I finally decided that it would be a great idea for all our family and friends that don't live near by to keep up with Cooper.

So, lets start from the beginning.

Cooper was born on March 3, 2009 at 5:09 PM. He was born at Lakeside Womans Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. He weighted 8lbs and 12 ozs. He was one week late so we induced labor at 7am that morning. I had contractions without an epidural till noon and then the naps began. Once I had dialated completly I only had to push for 14 mins and then Cooper arrived. Cooper got to go home when he was 3 days old, where he finally met Murphy (his new best friend).

Some of Coopers firsts:

He took his first outting on 3/11 where we went to eat lunch at Johnnies and then he got to go meet his ped for the first time.

He held his head up at 2 weeks.

He started sleepig through the night at 7 weeks.

Took his first road trip to Ryan on 4/3 and first road trip to Houston on 4/10 and again on 4/24.

His first babysitter was Cousin Lida so that mom and dad could go celebrate mom's 30th birthday!

Cooper is the first grandchild and first great-grandchild on the Hall side.

Cooper has 4 cousins that love him to death.

It is now 11 weeks later and time has flown so fast. Everytime I look up I feel like he has changed so much. Looking back I always wondered what it would be like when I had my own children, and well, Cooper is far more then I ever imagined. He brings such joy to our family. Coming home from work or when he first wakes up in the morning and he see's your face and just SMILES sooo big, it makes your heart melt. God has truley blessed us beyond belief!
